An identity-rich brand that visually embodies Egyptian quality on a global stage for Misr Delights

INTRODUCTION

How do people meet nowadays? On TikTok. That’s how Tariq found me. He saw one of my short videos and apparently thought, “That’s the branding partner I’ve been looking for.” His company, Misr Delights, brings high-quality food products straight from Egypt to retail shelves in Singapore and soon, this bridge between tradition and modernity is set to expand globally.

What immediately drew me in was the clarity of his mission and the cultural potential of his brand. An Egyptian founder using his roots to bring authentic products to Asia. Misr Delights is more than just import-export. It’s a cultural bridge. But that bridge didn’t yet have a visual form.

After a disappointing first branding attempt with another designer, the stakes were high. It had to hit the mark this time. During our Brand Discovery Call, it quickly became clear: we didn’t want to lean into clichés. The key question became: What does Egypt mean today? That question unlocked everything. No dancing pharaohs. No generic hieroglyphics. We were after something that conveyed Egypt instantly. Without shouting.

RESULT

Our first idea was to use the region’s hidden champion as a logo element: the camel. But that idea quickly gave way when I showed Tariq a design using the outline of Egypt itself. The country as a symbol. Why did it work so well? It’s bold yet subtle, instantly recognizable, visually strong, flexible, and emotionally charged.

That shape now runs like a golden thread through the entire branding. Sometimes as a pattern, sometimes as a photo mask, sometimes as a subtle graphic detail. The visual system is grounded in an earthy color palette: natural, warm, with a powerful orange accent. It’s paired with minimalist, hand-drawn illustrations that highlight craftsmanship and origin, honoring the rich culture that Misr Delight delivers with every shipment.

In the end, it wasn’t just about a logo. It was about making a brand feel real. For everyone abroad seeking authentic Egyptian culture and quality.

I found Tim after looking through many TikTok videos on brand and logo designs. I liked Tims style and reached out. After the initial introductory session Tim immediately got to work. Communication was very clear and each week we had review sessions, covering pre-agreed milestones. Tim put a lot of effort into these presentations and explained everything clearly. In addition, Tim was open to feedback and took diligent notes. At the end of the process i am very pleased with my brand guidelines document and finished logo, it really achieved everything i wanted.
