How do actors actually get their jobs? Maybe by DMing producers? By annoying all their friends who know someone who knows someone? Or perhaps through eBay classifieds? For a long time, one thing was clear: the industry was dominated by expensive consultants who rarely offered real value. Some of these consultants still exist today. Time for something better. Time for Castapp.

Castapp is a digital platform that simplifies the entire casting process for companies, agencies, and talent. It centralizes applications, communication, and administration in one place, allowing roles to be filled more efficiently and processes to be made more transparent. Or in short: Castapp digitizes and accelerates casting processes, from application to final selection. The logo was intended to reflect precisely this ambition: technology, future, and digitalization in an industry that still seems outdated in many places.

A classic theater logo was out of the question for Castapp. Figurative, exaggerated elements like faces, people, or curtains were deliberately excluded. Furthermore, an abstract representation of a "C" was desired, one that didn't necessarily have to be recognized at first glance. However, one thing was paramount: the technical aspect.

Therefore, during the logo's development, consideration was given to where the intersection of technology and theater lies. The idea of an abstract, stylized stage, which could be visualized with an almost nerdy minimalism, turned out to be a brilliant idea. An angular, mathematical parallelogram not only formed the basis of the grid but also conceptually runs like a common thread through the entire visual identity. Based on this shape, the logo was developed, reflecting an abstract "C" with its edgy, linear design and depicting the parallelogram – the digital stage – in the negative space.

Clear, edgy, distinctive. A symbol that stands not only for Castapp but for an entire industry increasingly operating in the digital realm.
