Brand Development of a Forward-Looking New "Social Media Platform"

INTRODUCTION

Refdex digitizes global performance evaluations in the labor market. On the platform, reviews from colleagues and digital testimonials from employers are created, tracked, and secured. These reviews and testimonials are visible on the public career profiles of users, allowing for a comparison of performance evaluations based on predefined categories and scenarios.

When closely examining other social media platforms, it becomes apparent that their visual identities are strongly based on logos and color schemes. To maintain a consistent appearance and avoid a chaotic look, they resort to using unobtrusive, neutral fonts that harmonize with a variety of content.

RESULT

The serious approach of Refdex as a new social media platform should be reflected in its appearance. A modified sans-serif font forms the distinctive logo, with the "R" serving as the brand symbol. Blue conveys security, reliability, and professionalism—important attributes to gain users' trust to entrust the platform with sensitive data. To add variety and to avoid a monotonous color scheme, Refdex additionally uses a fresh lime green. Although a simple font variant is chosen, it is used creatively and expressively in presentations.
